'Pokémon Sun and Moon' release date updates: fire type is everyone's favorite

After months of disappointment from empty promises regarding details on the upcoming "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon," fans were finally relieved as the identities of the starter Pokémon for the games have been revealed.
"The Official Pokémon Channel" on YouTube has given a glimpse of what the upcoming game will bring and it appears that Nintendo may have heard the pleas from fans when it comes to providing a new set of Pokémon to start the adventure.
The first starter Pokémon is Rowlet, which belongs to the grass/flying type. It's main ability is Overgrow. Rowlet can be stealthy – it can attack in silence and even flies without making a sound. This gives it the advantage of approaching its enemy without being detected and allowing it to deliver its powerful attacks. The ultra-sharp leaves that are part of its feathers also allow it to attack from afar. Rowlet comes with a move called Leafage, which strikes its opponent with leaves once a player chooses this Pokémon in battle.
The next starter Pokémon is Litten, a fire type cat Pokémon with the ability Blaze. "Logical but also passionate, Litten always remains coolheaded and doesn't show its emotions on the surface," as described by the official site. Litten attacks its opponents with fire hairballs and comes with the Ember move, which allows it to fire a small flame at its opponent.
The third starter Pokémon is Popplio, a water type sea lion Pokémon. This sea lion has a swimming speed of 25 mph and is much more efficient when in water than on land. But when it has to be on the ground, it can still "snort out" balloons that it uses to perform jumps and stunts. Popplio instinctively knows the Water Gun move, which allows it to fire a jet of water at its opponent.
From the looks of it, everyone has their eyes on the fire cat Pokémon. Litten appears to be everyone's favorite, while Popplio is the least favorite. Nevertheless, most fans of the "Pokémon" games are happy about the new set and now they are even more excited about the games' release, which will be on Nov. 18, 2016.
