There is no denying that "Pitch Perfect 2" was one of the most talked about sequels in a long time. It has only been a month since the sequel of "Pitch Perfect" was released, but fans have already been trying to find out if the franchise will get one more movie. Fortunately for them, "Pitch Perfect 3" has been greenlighted.

The only question now is how will the third installment play out?

"Pitch Perfect", which made its debut in 2012, follows the story of a college acapella group called the Barden Bellas, as they try to recruit new members with the goal of winning the national acapella championship.

But there is some uncertainty surrounding the production of "Pitch Perfect 3". Most of the speculations focus on which cast members will reprise their roles, especially because the end of the second installment saw most of the characters graduating from college.

What is guaranteed is that Ana Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will still be a part of the movie, with Wilson even tweeting:

"I know I spilt the beans a little while ago, but at least now it's OFFICIAL!! PITCH PERFECT 3, July 21, 2017!!! Sing 'ahhhhh' on 3 pitches x"

Like all casting rumors, many fans are already curious to know the parts that Wilson and Kendrick will play in the second sequel. According to reports, there is a possibility of the two former Bellas acting as coaches to the fresh crop of acapella girls. Other reports claim that the movie might follow the lives of the two main characters after college.

Since "Pitch Perfect" is a movie with a lot of choreography and singing, followers of the franchise can expect to wait for some time to see the third movie. But just a few weeks ago, Universal Studios had announced that the Barden Bellas will be heard singing again by July 21, 2017. Fans are hoping that the two-year wait will be worth it.
