Some of the higher-ups within the Phoenix Suns have already denied that Brandon Knight is for trade. However, it was recently reported that a number of teams in the NBA still believe that he is soon to be available.

Knight started to grace the rumor mill ahead of the 2016-17 regular season when Suns head coach Earl Watson gave Eric Bledsoe the starting job at point guard. Since then, he became a regular in trade talks, no matter what Watson or any team executive says.

In a recent report by ESPN's Marc Stein, he mentioned Suns general manager Ryan McDonough who in a radio interview said he is not interested in trading Knight as of the moment.

McDonough also mentioned that he needs a two-month period for him to assess the squad before considering trades.

Despite these statements, Knight is still expected by many to finish the current season with a different team.

The possibilities of Knight leaving Phoenix are improving, especially with the Suns having problems this season despite them having enough talent to at least be competitive.

Currently, the Suns are second to the last in the Western Conference with a 5-13 record. They are just two wins away from the 3-13 record of the Dallas Mavericks who are considered the worst team in the league this season.

Two of the Suns' losses came in their previous two outings as they fell to fellow struggling squads the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets.

Soon, McDonough will be forced to accomplish a swap to improve their chances of maybe having a winning record. For now, shooting for the playoffs is a tall task for them.

When this happens, Knight is definitely on top of the list since he has great value following his terrific performance last season when he took over and recorded some of the best numbers in his career.
