Fans have been hoping for Percy Jackson's adventures to continue after the well-loved character was seen with his half-blood friends in "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters," which was released in 2013.

With the action and adventures seen in the second movie, fans cannot wait to see more of them in another one, especially since the Percy Jackson movies are based on the novels from Rick Riordan. But to the disappointment of many, a third installment, which probably would have been titled "The Titan's Curse," is not in the cards, according to the star of the film franchise, Logan Lerman.

In 2014, the "Noah" actor confirmed that he won't be returning as the son of Poseidon in a third movie, but more importantly, there won't even be a third movie. "It's not happening," Lerman told MTV News.

Lerman may have confirmed the fate of the movie, but that didn't stop fans from expressing their strong desire to have another "Percy Jackson" movie. They've even gone as far as making a fan-made movie trailer for "The Titan's Curse," claiming that it's a way for them to call out to the Hollywood industry so that a movie will be made.

If a third movie would have been made, it should already be on its way to the big screens by this year. Also, if "The Titan's Curse" would have been realized, it's likely to follow important elements from the book.

In Riordan's book, Percy receives an important call from his good friend Grover, played by Brandon T. Jackson in the movie. Poseidon's son and his half-blood friends then rushed to where Grover is, only to discover that the satyr has found half-blood siblings whose parentage remains unknown.

Somewhere in the story, Annabeth, played by Alexandra Daddario, gets abducted by a monster. Artemis and her Hunters step into the picture and they will assist the demigods in their adventures.

The central plot could have been the stirring of the monsters, which meant that the king of the Titans, Kronos, is starting to regenerate and gain strength.

At this point, nothing is confirmed for another Percy Jackson movie. Fans are only hopeful they'll somehow get that confirmation one day.
