'Overwatch' news: Blizzard may set back release date over new game mode

A new game developed by Blizzard Entertaintment has players around the globe gripping to get their hands on the new "Overwatch" video game. "Overwatch" is a first-person (POV) shooting game. The player can choose a character with various abilities that are useful for single or team play. But what has been keeping the excitement high is that the game has a multiplayer mode.
Blizzard had the closed beta version of this game released last year on Oct. 27. It was released in a chosen area in North America and Europe. As usual, the game developer needs time to prepare and run through the game before releasing it worldwide. This is to find any bugs or any feature that is unnecessary in the game. Improving the gameplay and features is a big key to the game's success so it's no surprise that the company is polishing the game.
The director of the game, Jeff Kaplan, put up a post on their website's forum page that talked about the delay of releasing the game online for everyone. He said, "While progress has been great and the team has been working super hard to get everything implemented on time, we're not quite ready to bring the Closed Beta back online just yet."
Blizzard is currently working on an additional feature which has been repeatedly mentioned in the feedback from players. The raw data they got was huge when they first deployed the game. It recorded roughly 900,000 games played for "Overwatch." This is a good sign that the game has a possible spot in the worldwide gaming market.
There is a big additional feature to the game's player modes and they are looking to add this mode on the next beta patch. Initially, the game developer aimed to fully release the game sometime in January but because of the ongoing improvements being made, it will be pushed back to February this year.
"Overwatch" is developed for Microsoft PC platforms, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
