'Outlander' season 3 spoilers: Frank and Claire to spend years together

(Facebook/Outlander)"Outlander" season 3 will feature more steamy sex scenes between Jamie and Claire.

While there is no denying that "Outlander" fans are glued to their TV screens because of the romance of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe), fans will have to contend with the fact that Claire will have to spend some years with her husband Frank (Tobias Menzie) in the upcoming season 3 of "Outlander."

It is already a known fact that "Outlander" season 3 is lifted from the third book of Diana Gabaldon's series, "Voyager." Those who have already read the book know that Claire returned to her original timeline after thinking that Jamie perished in the Battle of Culloden, which, in reality, he did not as he actually survived.

In her original timeline, Claire will give birth to Briana (to be played by Sophie Skelton once the character grows up), her daughter with Jamie, and her husband, Frank, will be with her all the way as she lives her new life as a first-time mother. While Frank does not seem to have enough participation in Claire's motherhood journey in "Voyager," the latest reports claim that it will not be the case in "Outlander" season 3 as Frank will be part of, practically, every step of the process.

However, fans know too well Frank's presence in Claire's life doesn't mean that there will be no more Jamie and Claire moments on "Outlander" season 3. As "Voyager" features a 20-year time-jump, fans will get to see an older version of Jamie and Claire on "Outlander" season 3 when the two meet again in a print shop.

Even if they are much older than the last time they were together, Jamie and Claire will still engage in steamy lovemaking, which means that fans can expect more sex scenes from the characters in "Outlander" season 3, something that "Outlander" season 2 was insufficient of.

"There will be some other sex going on. I think to really let the reunion and everything that's going to happen once Jamie and Claire see each other, I think it's really special. Maybe they'll have to wait a little bit, but I don't think it's going to be as scarce as last season, shall we say?" Balfe said in an interview with Vanity Fair last November.

"Outlander" is slated to return to Starz on April 1.
