'Orange Is the New Black' season 5 rumors: Taystee to avenge Poussey's death; Piper to die?

"Orange Is the New Black" is not slated to return for its season 5 earlier than mid of 2017, but, this early, it is already speculated that the upcoming season of the Netflix series will feature lots of deaths. According to the latest in the rumor mill, Taystee (Danielle Brooks) will avenge the death of Poussey (Samira Wiley) and Piper (Taylor Schilling) may die on the series, too.
According to rumors, Taystee will still be grieving the demise of her friend Poussey who was killed in the previous season of "Orange Is the New Black." Reportedly, because of the piling up of emotions due to the death of her mother and Poussey, Taystee will be pushed to her limit and will decide to kill.
To recall, Poussey died in the season 4 finale episode of "Orange Is the New Black" when one of the prison guards pinned down the fan-favorite character during a peaceful protest that turned chaotic. Even if Poussey was already screaming that she couldn't breathe, the guard continued pinning her down with his knee, resulting in Poussey's death due to suffocation.
Apart from Taystee possibly avenging the death of Poussey, it is also suspected that Piper may also die in the upcoming season of the series. While it remains uncertain as to how the character will die, reports claim that it was Schilling herself who hinted of her character's death as she has, allegedly, said that the upcoming season 5 of "Orange Is the New Black" will be her last. Nonetheless, there are some who believe that Piper may just be released from Litchfield prison as her jail term may be already over.
Meanwhile, as "Orange Is the New Black" season 4 ended with a cliffhanger, showing Daya (Dascha Polanco) holding C.O. Humphrey (Michael Torpey) at gunpoint, it is said that it will be Maria (Jessica Pimentel) who will pull the trigger. Allegedly, Maria no longer has a reason to live and doesn't care if she becomes even more violent.
"Orange Is the New Black" season 5 is expected to arrive in June 2017.
