'One Punch Man' season 2 spoilers: Lord Boros said to return

(Facebook/One Punch Man)Toonami is airing the English-dubbed version of "One Punch Man" on Adult Swim.

"One Punch Man" has finally arrived at Toonami, much to the delight of the popular manga's fans. But will the network pick up a second season of the anime as well?

Toonami recently started airing season 1 of "One Punch Man" on its Adult Swim block. Dubbed entirely into English, the network's new animated hit premiered on July 16 and will be aired every Saturday. The series is expected to run for 12 episodes, so fans have three months of "One Punch Man" fun to look forward to.

Of course, with the popularity of the manga and now, the animated series, Saitama's fans are already wondering what's in store for them in season 2 and when it will be released.

"One Punch Man's" first season revolved around Saitama and his quest to find worthy opponents. The bald hero is continuously frustrated by how he's able to destroy every opponent with just one punch. Saitama later appeared to have met his match in Lord Boros, the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves. But the season ended with the former soundly defeating the latter.

There are speculations that season 2 will adapt the manga's "Hero Hunter" arc and set the stage for Saitama to face off against Garou, a villain who will turn out to be his most enduring nemesis. He's also a former student of Bang and was expelled when he went on a rampage and hurt the other students.

Aside from Garou, there are rumors that Saitama will be pitted against two more enemies — Amai Mask and a returning Lord Boros. Amai Mask is a model and a singer, which made the hero an even bigger celebrity. He also upholds high ideals on what heroes should be, but his perfectionism is said to hide his twisted side. Meanwhile, Lord Boros returning for another go at Saitama is understandable, given his previous defeat. The powerful cyclops will reportedly return stronger than before.

Season 2 will allegedly have more episodes as well, as it will cover more volumes from the manga. Fans are hoping that a new season of "One Punch Man" will be released later this year. Unfortunately, there's no concrete information of that happening.

"One Punch Man" is aired on Toonami every Saturday at midnight.
