'One Punch Man' season 2 release date, news, plot rumors: Saitama resorts to villainy?

Saitama may not be the most popular superhero anymore when "One Punch Man" season 2 arrives as spoilers suggest that he will become a villain when the show returns.
"One Punch Man" season 2 is one of the most anticipated anime series there is due to its unique representation of heroes, most especially Saitama, the protagonist whose journey to self-discovery continues.
However, recent reports suggest that Saitama will turn into a villain when the series returns next year. It is said that Saitama will start weakening and will eventually lose his powers. Because of this, he will be defeated by Lord Boros.
Saitama defeated Lord Boros in the finale of season 1 but it appears that the latter will bounce back and rise from the ruins to take vengeance. Though there is no confirmation to the rumors, fans are looking forward to the alleged twist that involves Saitama being an antagonist.
In the first season, Saitama depicted signs of having issues with who he is and what he wants to do. Since he has become stronger than ever, he has also lost the desire to keep doing what he does best - saving the world. Will this problem persist in season 2?
Other reports are also suggesting that "One Punch Man" season 2 will feature Watchdog Man's rise in the series. Watchdog Man appears to have similar abilities to Saitama as he also has amazing strength levels and does not have any special techniques like the other heroes in the Hero Association.
Finally, there are also rumors revolving around King, who is considered as the weakest among the heroes in "One Punch Man." It is speculated that he will soon rise to the ranks of the Hero Association and will become powerful enough to potentially face Saitama and other villains.
King has also been appearing whenever Saitama defeats an enemy and some fans speculate that a twist about King and Saitama being equally powerful may be featured in the upcoming installment.
Illustrator Yusuke Murata has not yet responded to questions about the upcoming season's release. However, a number of fans believe that "One Punch Man" season 2 will start airing sometime early 2017.
