'One Punch Man' season 2 release date up in the air despite confirmation of anime's second season

(Facebook/One Punch Man)After leaving the fans in a long guessing game, it is finally confirmed that there is "One Punch Man" season 2.

After the long wait, speculation on whether "One Punch Man" will have a season 2 or not has finally been answered as it was confirmed recently that Saitama will return for another season run of the popular anime that surprisingly took the world by storm.

The announcement was made recently at the "One Punch Man" fall festival, where, apart from the confirmation of the return of the popular anime, it was also announced that avid fans of Saitama/One Punch Man can expect the arrival of a mobile game based on the characters of the said series

While the "One Punch Man" mobile game has been confirmed to arrive sometime in 2017, the exact release of "One Punch Man" season 2 is still unknown. Nonetheless, many fans have felt a great sense of relief knowing that there is, indeed, "One Punch Man" season 2, much more that it was speculated earlier that there may be none — thanks to the absence of promotional materials to herald its arrival.

With the confirmation of the popular anime's return, more and more speculations as to what it may offer continue to surface online. However, earlier rumors claiming that the anime's season 2 will pick up from the events where its season 1 ended are getting louder and louder.

In the event that "One Punch Man" season 2 picks up from where its season 1 ended, it is said that it will feature Saitama fighting Lord Boros once more, whom the bald superhero already defeated in the first season of the series.

It is also alleged that Gorou, the former disciple of no.3 hero Bang, will be the big bad in the upcoming season of the anime, which is also suspected to feature the "Monster Raid" arc in the web-comic version of the series.

While the air date of "One Punch Man" season 2 is still a mystery, it is strongly speculated that it will arrive within the year. In fact, there are reports claiming that the anime may arrive next month, just before the Halloween.

However, with no official announcement, such a claim will remain an unconfirmed piece of news until MadHouse Entertainment confirms its veracity.
