Nintendo, the company that brought many memorable game consoles and titles like the Wii U and "The Legend of Zelda," has recently announced that they now have sold more than 21 million figurines of their latest toy product, the Nintendo Amiibo, as revealed on the company's latest earnings report.

According to the report from GameSpot, Nintendo's sale of Amiibo has drastically increased since the company's previous fiscal year. Specifically, from 10.5 million, the sales have gone up to 21 million and probably still counting.

As stated on the source, the major performer for these sales is the "Super Smash Bros" as well as the 30th anniversary "Super Mario Collectibles" that Nintendo shipped in the United States, which also happens to be the largest market in the world for Amiibo merchandise.

"The Americas market still holds more than half of the total sales but you can tell from the graph that regions other than the US, where toys-to-Life products had a late release, are gradually expanding," Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima said via GameSpot.

As for the best-selling Amiibo Toys, well at least in the United States that is, Nintendo had gladly shared the roster and on the top spot is none other than Link from the famous and popular game "The Legend of Zelda."

It was then followed by Mario from the "Super Mario Bros" game, Pikachu from "Pokemon," princess Zelda, "Animal Crossing Cards – Series 1" which has six cards in it, Luigi from "Super Mario Bros," animated version of Link or as what the company calls it Toon Link, Bowser, Sonic and princess Peach.

Nintendo first released the Amiibos back in 2014 along with the hit game "Super Smash Bros 4" for the Wii U platform. Ever since then, the toy line had become a huge hit for the fans both domestic and international.
