New 'Halo' game PC release date rumors: Next 'Halo' installment not exclusive to the Xbox platform

"Halo 5" has been exclusively made for the Xbox platform which is a bummer for gamers who wanted to play the game on a personal computer (PC).

While past game editions saw "Halo" playable via PC, it seems that future ones could be following the same route. This is with the understanding that what Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg said is factual and will actually happen.

According to an interview with Gameblog, Greenberg hints that future PC editions of "Halo" could be forthcoming which may be part of his revelation that the company wants to "offer new games to a larger player base as possible."

Such could be possible, considering Microsoft is bringing in a lot of Xbox One titles to the PC segment. Among those titles include "Forza Motorsport" and "Gears of War 4," which will reportedly be playable under the Windows 10 PC platform. So if those games are able to do it, why not "Halo" too?

The only problem is that while there could be future "Halo" game titles making their way to the PC platform, it may not include "Halo 5."

This means that if a "Halo" game title does make its way, it may be a game successor or even old game titles which did not appear in previous releases. So does this mean "Halo 6" will be playable on the PC as well?

Of the two titles mentioned as possibly landing on the PC platform, there could be some apprehension on "Gears of War 4." This is tied up with the issues that the company had with "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition," which had a not-so-impressive and rocky debut on the Windows 10 Store.

Hence, the reception of "Gears of War 4" could be met with the same hesitation, meaning Microsoft may have to do some tweaking and carefully reconsider the game titles they play to push from the Xbox to the PC platforms.
