'New Girl' season 6 episode 8 spoilers: Jess asks for Winston's undercover skills for her possible promotion

(Facebook/NewGirlonFOX)"New Girl" season 6 airs every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. on FOX.

Jess (Zooey Deschanel) asks for Winston's (Lamorne Morris) skills for her possible promotion in the upcoming episode 8, titled "James Wonder," of the sixth season of the American comedy series "New Girl."

The principal position at the school where Jess is teaching at may be vacant in the nearest future. In order to be considered for the post, Jess tries to make herself look good to the disapproving president of the Parents Council. She tries to find ways to impress her. However, it is easier said than done so Jess tries to ask for Winston's help. Winston will be putting his undercover skills to test as he pretends to be a part of the Parents Council.

Nick (Jake Johnson), on the other hand, is having a minor problem on his own. He is struggling to think of a perfect wedding gift for Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece (Hannah Simone).

In other related news, according to Hollywood Reporter, "New Girl" creator Liz Meriwether has signed to Fox once again for a new comedy series, titled "Thin Ice." It will be her first project on the network since the debut of "New Girl."

Meriwether's new series will follow a woman's life, while she reclaims her ambitions. However, she will find herself at the end of the earth in Antarctica with a bunch of misfits.

Fox Entertainment president David Madden said, "Liz is a great friend of ours, and her take on the important genre of South Pole comedy is as brilliant, specific and hilarious as 'New Girl.' 'Thin Ice' takes place in a world that half-hour television has never touched, and does it with original characters, an inimitable voice and Liz-style surprising romance."

Meanwhile, the previous episode, titled "The Last Thanksgiving," saw Jess and the gang's Thanksgiving going to the opposite direction. Schmidt's father, Robby (Nelson Franklin), suddenly appeared without notice.

"New Girl" season 6 airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. on Fox.
