Season 12 of NCIS is still currently revolving around the story line of the main villain, Sergei Michnev, and the recent episodes show that the character is still pushing his vendetta that involves the "it comes in three" killings.

In the past episode of NCIS, Gibbs had to deal with a case that almost pushed him to an emotional breakdown. Gibbs' ex-wife, Diane, was killed by a sniper shot in the head, and Gibbs went in pursuit of Michnev, with Fornell on his side. Fans are still wondering what will happen in the next episode, and it looks like fans have to wait longer since NCIS won't be showing any more episodes this January.

According to a report by Carter Matt, CBS has been repeating this pattern for four years since they don't want to release bulk episodes in January. The network would rather show the latter episodes in February, and this is exactly what will happen to NCIS season 12.

Meanwhile, actress Cote de Pablo, who's known to NCIS fans as Ziva David, revealed in an interview how she felt about leaving the show. Pablo also revealed if she plans to return to the show to reprise her well-loved character.

Talking to TVLine, Pablo also shared insights into the on-screen romance of Ziva with another character, Tony DiNozzo.

"I think it was rushed. I would have liked a little bit of closure, but I think all in all I could not be more blessed, because I got a chance to be with my 'love,' Michael [Weatherly]. Any time you put Michael and I together, there's going to be a spark, and there's going to be real honesty, and for that I am forever grateful, because in that sense there was a sense of conclusion as far as what [they] felt for each other." said the actress in the interview.
