'NCIS' season 12 spoilers: Delilah's return might mean she'll stay with McGee

Finally, after a long and suspense-driven wait, Delilah Fielding is back on "NCIS". Die-hard fans of the show may recall that we last saw Agent McGee's love interest going to Dubai to work with the Department of Defense. Fortunately, episode 18, aptly named "Status Update", will see the duo together due to a case.
The official episode's synopsis, as reported by TVGuide, reveals that the body of a thief is found in a Marine's house. Delilah travels from Dubai to Washington to work alongside her boyfriend McGee. A probe into the thief's death unveils a clue about a terrorist organization that Delilah and her team at the Department of Defense have been tracking from Dubai.
The upcoming episode will also reveal the fate of Delilah and McGee's relationship. While it seems easy to write her character off, that may not be so. Sean Murray, who essays the role of Agent McGee, made it clear that his character's chapter with Delilah might not be over. He told Zap2it in an interview that, "We haven't seen her (Delilah) this year but I think we're going to see her, which is -- for me and for the character -- a good thing. I think people like to see McGee and Delilah together too and it's fun to do. I have a great time with Margo Harshman, who plays Delilah."
The duo have been in a long-distance relationship ever since she left. This investigation brings them closer and could either see them saying their goodbyes or strengthening their relationship before she heads off to Middle East. Another interesting possibility is if she stays back in Washington. Fans may recall that she had plans to live-in with her boyfriend in an episode aired last year when she took the keys of his apartment.
Additionally, Ellen Hollman is set to reprise her role as special Agent Tina Larsen. Sadly, fans had to wait for two weeks in order to get their regular dose of "NCIS" as the upcoming episode airs on Tuesday, March 24 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
