Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito) will have to face a person from her past in the upcoming episode of "NCIS: New Orleans."

Fans of the CBS series will finally know more about Gregorio's dark secret in the first episode for January. According to TV Guide, her husband will arrive in Big Easy.

Gregorio's past has previously been teased to be murky. When she joined Pride's (Scott Bakula) team, she was initially aloof to the other members. It was then revealed that she has a secret to protect. If the others learn about it, her career as an FBI agent may be finished. Gregorio is said to be running from her husband. He is allegedly a criminal who siphoned money from FEMA projects.

Executive producer Brad Kern said Gregorio would have to face him soon or later.

"The gods have a way of bringing us back, in way, of what we're tying to run from. She will be confronting that emotionally and literally as the season progresses," the EP teased in the TV Guide interview.

It will be interesting to see how the NCIS squad will react to Gregorio's secret. So far, she has started to make friends with LaSalle (Lucas Black) and Percy (Shalita Grant). She helped LaSalle when his ex-girlfriend claimed that he was the father of her baby. Later on, it was revealed that he was not. Pride has also started to trust his newest agent. Gregorio may be standoffish most of the time, but she gets the job done.

Meanwhile, the synopsis for the episode titled "Follow the Money" reveals (as seen on CarterMatt) that Pride may be risking his job to protect a family friend who is being linked to the cartel. The NCIS and the FBI are expected to collaborate on the case.
