'NCIS: Los Angeles' season 7 episode 13 spoilers: Team turns into cyber sleuths as Callen and Sam go undercover; show's ratings up
Despite the show's seemingly erratic schedule, "NCIS: Los Angeles" appear to have bounced back, ratings wise. This has made fans feel more confident that their favourite show will be seen on air for another season. The upcoming episode might draw in more viewers as Sam and Callen go undercover in a tech start-up.
Episode 13 of "NCIS: Los Angeles" seventh season will shift gears and pace. The show will be taking a break from explosions and the threat of radioactivity, and will enter the cyber world this time around.
A synopsis for the upcoming episode, which was posted on SpoilerTV, states that Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam's (LL Cool J) team will be looking into the death of "a tech entrepreneur turned venture capitalist." The victim apparently was in the middle of developing a daemon, a computer program that can accumulate large amounts of data undetected.
It goes without saying that if this program falls in the wrong hands, it can cause huge problems. Aside from the danger it poses to confidential information, the illegally collected data can also wreak havoc on the market and the economy.
This is a very real threat these days but the trailer for the episode, aptly titled "Angels and Daemons," opted for a more light-hearted approach to the problem. The clip starts with an office set-up, with a man shown lying on the floor. A voice over relates that a start-up just lost its top investor. Callen then tells Sam that they have to go undercover. The agent is then seen using a hoverboard to get around an office. He hits a desk and angrily demands if it was moved there. Callen also demands to use the slide and is shown apparently enjoying his ride down. Assistant director Granger (Miguel Ferrer) is seen wondering what's wrong with Callen and Sam. G's partner is then shown punching someone, followed by a scene of him shooting out a window.
Aside from the change in pace, it would be interesting to see Sam and G doing undercover work again. In the previous episode, it was Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) who were undercover as they investigated a decommissioned nuclear plant.
Episode 13 of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 7 will be aired on Jan. 18 on CBS.
