'NCIS LA' season 7 episode 21 spoilers: Deceitful Nate?

(Facebook / NCIS: Los Angeles)A different side of Nate will be shown on the next episode of "NCIS LA" season 21.

Two weeks after the last episode aired, "NCIS LA" returns with an episode titled "Head of the Snake" on Apr. 11. Actor Peter Cambor reprises his role as OSP Psychologist Nate Getz on season 7 episode 21 as an undercover NCIS agent who appears to be working for the syndicate as well.

Spoilers Guide uploaded some sneak peek clips for the upcoming episode. One clip shows the team examining a security camera footage of a carjacking incident. It shows a delivery truck labeled Hidden Hills Produce as the target. It is revealed to be an undercover military arms transport. While studying the crime, Kensi recognizes Nate as one of the culprits.

Owen then tells the team that Nate is sent on a long period undercover but it has been 12 weeks since his last contact. While it could mean he is forced to work with the abductors, another scene shows his deceit in an attempt at a rescue operation.

He appears to double-cross Callen and Sam who find him tied and unconscious at the back of the truck only to point a gun at them when they prepare to engage with two other villains. Furthermore, he is shown interrogating Callen who has been held hostage.

This comes as a surprise to fans of the show as much as the characters in it who have witnessed the doctor to be anything but a villain. Doc Nate has been a recurring character since the first season as the team's Operational Psychologist. Viewers can only imagine what kind of mind games he is capable of playing, if he truly has turned to the bad side. Meanwhile, many hope that this is just part of his undercover plan and that there is a perfect explanation to why he is working with crime makers.

To find out whose side Doc Nate is really on, watch the episode on Apr. 11, 10 p.m. on CBS.
