NBA trade rumors 2016: Lakers speeding up rebuilding process with Wizards' John Wall?

The Los Angeles Lakers are in no rush to rebuild, but if given the opportunity, they would likely aim for it to happen faster. A player that can make that possible is Washington Wizards All-Star point guard John Wall.
A potential trade scenario will see the Lakers part ways with D'Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and José Calderón for them to get Wall from Washington.
Wall would certainly help the Lakers quicken the pace of the phase they are going through. The 26-year-old is an established star in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and if the pieces click, he might even help them become contenders in an instant.
Most likely, Wall will become the new face of the franchise for the Lakers, together with Jordan Clarkson and rookie Brandon Ingram.
However, it is unknown if the Lakers are willing to give up so much young talent just to have a proven player.
Russell and Randle are members of Los Angeles' young core which the franchise wants to develop. However, there were times in the off-season when the two could have been dealt. Still, they are considered valuable and perhaps untouchables as of the moment.
Calderón would be easier to trade for the Lakers since even without him, they will do fine at the no. 1 position.
Similar with the Lakers, there is no guarantee the Wizards will say "yes" since Wall is still their main guy even if Bradley Beal is also in the team. But for them, it might be tempting because of the chance to add developing players who have great potential, plus it comes with Calderón who provides experience and quality minutes.
For now, all the guys who were mentioned are staying with their respective squads. But when the regular season trade period opens, their names will surface again.
