'NBA 2K17' news: Patch 1.07 detailed further; already available for the PS4

Patch 1.07 was released for the PlayStation 4 port of "NBA 2K17" a few days ago without any notes, but now they're here, and players can learn about what this new downloadable introduces.
Arguably, the most notable fix included in Patch 1.07 is the one that addresses over-dribbling.
In the real-life NBA, dribbling too much and then immediately launching a shot is usually not a good move for a player to try and that will now be reflected in this pro basketball simulator as well.
Developers have "reduced the effectiveness of shooting after excessive dribbling" via Patch 1.07, and this could have a significant impact on how players approach games.
Scaling back the effectiveness of those particular shots likely means players will have to move the ball around more in order to find better looks they can convert.
Notably, gameplay director Mike Wang remarked over on Twitter that the aforementioned tweak included in this patch should be one that players designated as Shot Creators inside the game will like.
Patch 1.07 also applies some fixes for particular Parks inside "NBA 2K17."
To be more specific, players should find that they are now better when using the Parks known as Ante-Up, Old Town and Sunset Beach.
Lastly, Patch 1.07 also carries support for two upcoming tournaments, according to the notes posted on the game's official Facebook page.
The two tournaments that gained support via the recently released patch are the "NBA 2K17 European All-Star Tournament" as well as the "NBA 2K17 All-Star Tournament."
It's worth noting that Patch 1.07 takes up a little over 7.5GB of space, according to a post from NBA 2K Redditor "throwawayjfromafar," so it may take some time to download for PlayStation 4 owners.
Patch 1.07 is also expected to be released soon for the Xbox One port of the game.
More news about "NBA 2K17" should be made available in the near future.
