More details about the upcoming "Road to Boruto" expansion that's set to be released for "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" have been shared recently by developers, and the biggest revelation involves the confirmation of a new character.

In a new post on the game's official website, developers confirmed that Mitsuki will become a playable character courtesy of the expansion.

Mitsuki joins Team Konohamaru teammates Boruto and Sarada as the characters that have been confirmed for the "Road to Boruto" expansion.

With all three now coming to the game, "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" players can look forward to using them at the same time and pulling off a new Ultimate Jutsu attack that utilizes all of their considerable talents.

At this point, it remains unclear how many other new characters beyond the three will be added to the game as part of the "Road to Boruto" expansion.

Aside from the additional characters, the new expansion will also introduce a storyline that prominently features both Boruto and Sarada. New areas of the Hidden Leaf Village will also be opened up to "Storm 4" players.

Players should be aware that the "Road to Boruto" expansion will not be covered by the game's season pass, so they will still need to purchase it if they want to have the new characters and other pieces of content added to their games.

"Road to Boruto" is expected to go on sale for $19.99 and it is set to be officially released on Feb. 3.

Alternatively, fans of the "Naruto" franchise who have not gotten the game previously and who are interested in doing so now may also get the newly announced full edition of "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto."

The full edition contains all the elements of the upcoming expansion, the contents of the base game as well as the features that were added via three previously released DLC packs.
