The "Naruto Shippuden" anime is almost reaching its end unless Studio Pierrot decides to add a couple more filler episodes to extend the series. In the upcoming episode, fans will find out what happens to Obito and what happens to Team 7.

To recap, Kaguya and Black Zetsu were fighting the titular character Naruto in episode 471. Surrounded by Naruto's shadow clones, Kaguya was looking everywhere for the real Naruto so that she could put an end to him. She spotted the one with the orbs, and she immediately attacked him. However, the almighty matriarch of the Otsutsuki Clan only fell for Naruto's trick. That Naruto was a clone.

Fans are now wondering if the titular character has more tricks up his sleeve. If he does, will Naruto be able to fool the mother of the sage of six paths?

If there's one thing that's guaranteed, it's that Naruto will be able to fight Kaguya with the help of the team. Naruto always finds a way, without a doubt.

Unfortunately, in episode 472, the team will be short of one person. As seen previously, Obito was struck with a rod by Kaguya in his attempt to save the rest of the team. In the upcoming episode, Obito will die. However, fans are speculating that the writers will spare Obito. Will they? Or are fans just finding it difficult to accept Obito's death?

In the next episode, Naruto will reportedly try to give Obito some of his chakra to help him heal, but the latter will only tell him to conserve the chakra he has left. In his last moments, he realizes that he is lucky to have met Naruto and that he's lucky he reminded him of his past self. More importantly, Obito feels happy that he was given the chance to redeem himself.

Kakashi and Obito's childhood friend, Rin, will also make an appearance in the next episode. Rin appears to be ushering Obito to the afterlife. But before Obito completely lets go, he needs to do one more thing.

"Naruto Shippuden" episode 472 is set to premiere today, Aug. 18.
