The third season of "Narcos" is getting more and more exciting as it has been revealed that Andrea Londo, who recently appeared in "Faking It," has been tapped to join the show.

According to Deadline, Londo will play the role of Maria, who is not just a former beauty queen of Colombia but she is also one who knows the way to survival very well. It has yet to be revealed how her character will play into the hands of "Narcos" season 3 but fans can expect that she will have an impact on the Cali Cartel's movements.

Londo is known for her performance in "Pasaporte," a story about a teenager who escapes from her abusive stepfather and finds ways to survive to live an independent life. She also appeared in "Time in Between" and "Catfish: The TV Show."

Meanwhile, other new stars joining "Narcos" season 3 are Nicholas Gonzalez, Michael Stahl-David and Kerry Bishé.

Gonzalez will play the role of DEA agent Lopez and it appears that he will help Pedro Pascal's Javier Pena in the battle against drugs. It's only reasonable that the authorities are now much more fired up to destroy the drug trade in Colombia after Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) has been killed.

Stahl-David, on the other hand, will portray Chris Feistl, who is an American agent but will be sent to Colombia to dig into the country's drug movements. It's either he will butt heads with Pena or he will be an ally.

Finally, there's Bishé, who will be portraying Christina, an American woman who could potentially play a major role in the fall of the Cali Cartel. The cartel was always bound to fall, at least based on historical accounts, and Christina just may be the key towards the Colombian police's next great achievement. Christina is married to a Colombian man who will be deeply involved with the country's drug trade, and as mother and wife, she will have to ask help from the U.S. Embassy after learning what her Colombian husband has been doing all this time.

"Narcos" season 3 is expected to premiere sometime mid-2017 on Netflix.
