'Modern Warfare Remastered' news: Five maps revealed
As the upcoming "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" was announced last week, it became clear that there is tremendous amount of anticipation for the remastered edition of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare." This anticipation has been further heightened by the fact that 10 maps will be releasing in the remastered version and they will be based on the original game.
Among the 10 maps that are going to be brought from "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" to the "Modern Warfare Remastered," three have already been revealed by the developers and publishers of the game. However, in a recent interview with Forbes, Rob Kostich, executive vice president and general manager responsible for the "Call of Duty" gamming franchise at Activision, revealed two more maps.
Kostich went on to detail that in addition to the three Crash, Backlot, and Crossfire, which were previously announced when "Modern Warfare Remastered" was made public, two more Bog and Overgrown will be added. Since these are fan favorite maps and not something that have been picked at random by the developers and publishers of the game, it is likely that they will help build enthusiasm for the game. A total of 10 multiplayer maps will be arriving in the remastered edition of the game and there are indications that details about the remaining five will be made public gradually.
Included in the "Modern Warfare Remastered" edition will be the entire single-player campaign that initially released in 2007, along with the multiplayer part.
"Modern Warfare Remastered" is due to release along with "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" on Nov. 4. However, the remastered edition is only going to be available in three editions of the game. One of these is the "Legacy Edition and Digital Legacy Edition," which is priced at $79.99, and the others are the "Digital Deluxe Edition" priced at $99.99 and the "Legacy Pro Edition," which is priced at $119.99.
