Fans of the VH1 reality show "Mob Wives" would have to look for a new show to watch as the series is set to bid audiences adieu.

VH1 recently announced that "Mob Wives" has officially been cancelled, with season 6 being its final season. Stalwarts Big Ang, Drita D'Avanzo, Karen Gravano, Renee Graziano and Carla Facciolo are set to return this season and will be joined by newcomers Brittany Fogarty, daughter of the infamous gangster John Fogarty, and Marissa Fiore.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the news was confirmed by Nina L. Diaz, Senior Vice President for East Coast Production & Development of VH1. In a press release, Diaz thanked the cast for sharing their lives and "unbelievably compelling personal stories" with the public, adding that they "cannot wait to share the most epic season yet with their fans."

The last season of the show, aptly titled "Mob Wives: The Last Stand," will see the ladies heading back to Staten Island. The season will reportedly shine a spotlight on the lives of the wives outside of their alleged mob ties and focus instead on their being mothers, daughters, friends and businesswomen.

There's certainly a lot of material for the series' ultimate season. According to the show's VH1 blog, fans will see Renee trying to remain focused, centred and drama free. Unfortunately, that might not be so easy for the feisty lady. Karen will reportedly be more concerned on managing her daughter's burgeoning modelling career while networking and making the necessary connections to push her child's career forward. Meanwhile, Drita is penning a "tell-all memoir" that will revolve on her life with her ex-con husband, Lee. Her fans might be interested in understanding what her life was before and during her time as one of the "Mob Wives," but the other wives are reportedly not keen on the idea. Drita's old nemesis Carla will undoubtedly oppose her, as she's set to call out anyone who will attempt to bully her this year.

Big Ang has a lot on her plate this season as she faces financial and health issues. The reality star is said to be facing a major health crisis as her cancer has reportedly returned. ET Online reported that despite having two major surgeries early this year, doctors found another cancerous lump during a routine check-up.

"Mob Wives: The Last Stand" is set to air its premiere episode on Jan. 13, 2016.
