A Western Conference collision of teams already eliminated from playoff contention takes place tonight with the Sacramento Kings hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Sleep Train Arena.

The Kings lost their last outing 115-107 versus the Portland Trail Blazers at home.

All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins led the way for the losing side as he tallied 30 points, nine rebounds, one assist, two steals, and three rejections.

Helping Cousins was former All-Star playmaker Rajon Rondo who had a triple-double 27 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, which came along with two steals.

Guard Seth Curry added 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists in 34 minutes of action.

The Kings had a great run in the middle of the regular season and made it to the top eight in the West. But the troubles they faced pulled them down the standings and they are currently 11th in the conference with a 31-47 record.

If Sacramento is coming off a loss, the Wolves just captured their biggest win of the season after stunning the Golden State Warriors at the Oracle Arena Tuesday, taking a 124-117 overtime victory.

Reserve forward Shabazz Muhammad stood out for Minnesota in the huge upset exploding for 35 points.

Last season's Rookie of the Year, guard Andrew Wiggins, also had a great scoring night tallying 32 points, with five rebounds, four assists, and six steals.

Rookie big man Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a double-double 20 points and 12 rebounds, that came along with four assists, and two blocks.

The Timberwolves improved their record to 26-52 after defeating the Dubs and are 13th in the Western Conference standings.

A win tonight would not affect both teams' already failed campaigns, but they surely want to better their records before the regular season closes.
