'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain' news and updates: Konami issues statement on save file corrupting bug

The much awaited game, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," is now available for purchase. However, it seems like Konami, the publisher of the IP, just found some terrible bug in the game. This bug corrupts the saved files of the players and destroys the progress made by players.
According to the report by PC Gamer, on Sept. 8, Konami released a statement, in which they informed people of the game breaking bug they found. Apparently, when the player acquires Quiet and then save the game, it will be corrupted and all of the progress made will be deleted.
"In 'METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN' which was released on September 1st, 2015 there is a possibility that the game stops progress if having Quiet as a buddy while playing "Mission 29" or "Mission 42," Konami wrote in their public statement.
The game, as said on PC Gamer, is actually pretty long and if the save files get corrupted, the players will have to go through the story again just to return to the current progress they have made, which is a total hindrance in completing "MGS V."
Luckily, Konami included a solution for the problem and it is quite obvious. "This situation can be avoided by not using Quiet as a buddy while playing either "Mission 29" or "Mission 42," the publisher advised.
Currently, as what Konami mentioned in the statement, it appears that every platform compatible with the game is affected. To be more specific, the statement mentioned that the bug is present in the last gen consoles, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, next gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as on the PC platform.
No word yet on when the update for the save file corruption bug of "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," will be released.
