"Masters of Sex" buffs had to say goodbye to season two last year when Bill Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) were struggling to keep their clinic afloat and make their research on the physiological effects of sex on men and women matter. Last season viewers left a distraught Virginia as she had to face separation with her children and Libby's (Caitlin FitzGerald) steamy indiscretion with Robert.

What will season three bring to the table? At the Television Critics Association winter press tour, Showtime president David Nevins said that there will a significant time leap in season three, according to TVLine. Season two ended in 1961. Instead of having their research scoffed at, Masters and Johnson will actually be enjoying their celebrity status. "Last season was kind of a down period for them, this season will be (about) fame and celebrity, and the effect of what they've done has started to have on the world," said Nevins.

Finally, fans will see the efforts and sacrifices of their research bear fruit. While there are no confirmed reports when the season is set to air, speculations are pointing to a mid-2015 date or early summer of 2015, according to Youth Health. It seems fitting as season one and two both aired around the same time in 2013 and 2014. Admirers of the show also wish to know what will happen with Flo (Artemis Pebdani) and Austin (Teddy Sears) as Flo blackmails Austin and indulges in her little sex games with him, including a "Gone with the Wind" act.

Rumors simmering on the Internet also wonder if Libby will finally get out of her prim and proper housewife routine now that she's finally cheated on her husband. But the burning question that every "Masters of Sex" fan has: Will Bill and Virginia finally be together? The duo have a palpable chemistry on-screen and fans are waiting to see the two finally be a couple.
