Fans are demanding answers to questions that "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 will hopefully answer.

The season 3 finale of the popular Marvel TV series gave viewers a glimpse at the changes they can expect next season, as Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) was demoted to agent, a mysterious personage is head of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) went rogue and began calling herself Quake.

Fans are no doubt invested in what happens to Coulson and Johnson next, as the two have been at the center of the show the past 3 years. They definitely would want to know who replaced Coulson and why he was treated the way he was. It's been speculated that in the show, the move was a result of "Civil War's" Sokovia Accords, while in real life, it was due to some problems with Gregg.

However, according to the actor, he's not angry at what happened to his character and told EW that he believes "Phil Coulson's happiest as a field agent," but it appears that what would make him happier is if he could reach out to his protege Johnson.

The finale revealed that Johnson has undergone a clear 360, dressing up like a goth, causing trouble in various areas and calling herself Quake. But Bennet previously said that her Inhuman character hasn't become 100 percent evil, although she's still trying to understand what her destiny is. It remains to be seen whether Johnson and Coulson would cross paths again.

As for who's leading S.H.I.E.L.D. now that Coulson is just an agent? Like the fans, the actors are also in the dark, although Gregg said that May (Ming-Na Wen) would be a perfect choice. Not only has she earned the right, but she's someone that Coulson can follow.

The series might also be adding a volatile new character to the mix. A trolley advertising "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." was recently spotted. But along with the show's logo, fans could also see a fiery chain. This has prompted fans to theorize that Hellfire (Axle Whitehead) might return next season but will be on the good side this time around.

Fans would have to be patient, though, and just wait for "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 to return to ABC in the fall.
