Marvel's 'Agent Carter' spoilers: Big role for Howard Stark's rage-inducing invention in finale

Marvel's "Agent Carter" put up quite an episode on Tuesday as Chief Dooley died before having a bomb strapped to his chest. Fans were shocked, to say the least, as many did not expect this kind of ending. MStars News reports that seasoned viewers of the show took to Twitter to express their shock. One viewer, @smith2alexander tweeted, "Still can't get over that #AgentCarter episode Can't believe #chiefdooley died." With only one episode left for season one to wrap up, it looks like audiences will have to brace themselves for even more shocking twists.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Michele Fazekas teased fans about what to expect next. But before revealing teasers, Fazekas said it was decided that something big would happen on the show that had actual consequences, referring to Dooley's death. With regards to Howard Stark's rage-inducing invention, Fazekas said, "It plays a huge role in the finale. The invention that Dr. Ivchenko is after plays a huge part in a very big set piece in episode 8." Stark's invention induces rage in a person just before his death. What role could this invention play in the finale?
The executive producer also specified that while Peggie and Dottie have a satisfying confrontation, there will still be loose ends between them. Moreover, Fazekas also teased that Howard Stark will put himself at risk in the finale due to his guilt. He explained, "He actually puts himself at risk in the finale. Despite the fact that he's a confident guy and an arrogant guy, he has a lot of guilt about his involvement in all of this. He will actually put himself at risk, but you will still see him doing things that are self-serving."
When asked about possible cliffhangers and tying up loose ends in season one, Michele adeptly said there would be resolutions as well as loose ends that may be addressed in season two, should there be one.
