'Married at First Sight' season 4 spoilers: New marriage counselor and relationship expert join the show
FYI's social experiment reality series "Married at First Sight" is returning with two new professionals once its season 4 starts airing next month.
According to an exclusive report of People magazine, the popular social experiment series will usher in Pastor Calvin Roberson and Rachel DeAlto as the show's marriage counselor and communication/relationship expert, respectively.
"Married at First Sight" will use Miami as its backdrop this season. Previously, it had New York and Atlanta as the show's setting.
In its article last year, The Ashley's Reality Roundup cited a post of Kinetic Content, producer of "Married at First Sight," stating that the show was looking for courageous singles who are in search for a forever partner as a qualification of the reality series' upcoming season. The publication posted an excerpt from the announcement, which encouraged those qualified to apply, especially if they were bent on finding their future life partners, understanding themselves better, and celebrating life in a different light.
"Married at First Sight" is a reality series that follows the life and adventures of three couples who work on making their respective marriages succeed. Each pair featured on the show doesn't know each other and only meet for the first time on the day of their wedding ceremony.
At the end of the series, the couples are given the freehand whether they want to keep the marriage intact or not. In the first season of the show, two couples — Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner and Jason Carrion and Cortney Hendrix — decided to continue the marital partnership. On the contrary, though, all of its season 2 featured couples decided to divorce.
Meanwhile, according to TV Series Finale, "Married at First Sight" is FYI's highest-rating series. It garnered an average of 550,000 viewers per episode during its first three seasons.
"Married at First Sight" returns to FYI on July 26 at 9 p.m. ET.
