'Married at First Sight' news: Six months later Sean and Davina choose divorce; Jessica slaps restraining order on husband

"Married at First Sight" is a dating show on steroids. The reality show/social experiment go beyond just introducing potential partners and having them go on dates. The participants get married on Day One and how the relationships progress for the next six weeks are captured on camera.

The show's premise is admittedly unique and interesting, but can also lead to potential disaster (but to be fair, it has also resulted in happy endings.) It did lead to good ratings for the show though.

In the finale of "Married at First Sight" season 2, two of the three couples decided to give their marriage a shot. Couples Ryan de Nino and Jessica Castro and Ryan Ranellone and Jaclyn Methuen revealed they are staying together while Sean Varricchio and Davina Kullar admitted that they are getting a divorce.

A clip from the show's reunion special hints of some animosity between the estranged couple as Sean and Davina sit apart from each other. This was further emphasized by Sean's comment that "even the thought of seeing her today causes me immense anxiety.

Ryan R. and Jaclyn had a slow start but their relationship appears to be getting stronger. On the other hand, Ryan D. and Jessica's relationship appeared to remain volatile but they both decided to give their marriage a chance. Jessica even said that "divorce is not in her vocabulary."

So the news that De Nino was hit with a restraining order by Jessica caught fans by surprise. The move could even be construed as a publicity stunt if the allegations were not so disturbing.

According to Jessica's lawyer, Marc Rapaport, his client is terrified for her life after her husband threatened to kill her. Even scarier is the threat that De Nino appeared to have made during the taping of the show's reunion episode. His threats were picked up by a live mic and were deemed serious enough that, according to the New York Post, the show's producers provided Jessica with security.
