Nintendo has developed the "Super Mario Kart" racing game that was a spin-off of "Super Mario Bros." The game was a huge hit, especially for players using home and portable gaming systems from Nintendo. The game had its fair share of evolution over the years and has been developed for various gaming systems by Nintendo and now, it has its own version for the Wii U gaming console which was released on Jan. 21.

However, the game "Mario Kart 64," which was recently released, lacked the Ghost time feature. And a lot of gamers in the community thought it was a big let down. The player is required to have the N64 controller pak which can't be used for the Wii U system. The N64 controller pak is a plug-in accessory which serves as a memory card for the Nintendo 64 video game console. This allows the player to save game progress and preferred configurations. This, however, is not compatible with the latest Wii U system.

In "MK64," the Ghost time feature allows the player to save their best performance in racing so that they can use it to compete against themselves. This Ghost feature error has also been a problem with the Wii Virtual Console version of "Mario Kart 64" that launched prior to Wii U.

This means that all the "Mario Kart 64" players can no longer race with their own ghost data, which is a good motivator to improve their racing skills. According to Destructoid, Nintendo does not have any workaround for the problem and it is unclear if the company intends on looking for a solution. This is a big disappointment for all Wii U owners and game players since it's a very useful feature of the game.

In the video gaming development, there is no such thing as permanent because innovation is continuous in this industry. This means all top selling video games are always upgraded. If this issue keeps on making the headlines, there could be a chance that Nintendo will finally decide to give it a solution.
