'Marco Polo' season 3 release date, updates: series moves to another network?

Netflix continues to remain mum on the release of "Marco Polo" season three or if it will ever happen, but recently, reports have emerged, suggesting that the series may be on its way to a new network.
Netflix allegedly held a meeting and it focused on the historical drama that still has not been announced for a renewal. The meeting involved other executives from different TV stations and all purportedly agreed that "Marco Polo" deserved to stay on air. The problem is, finances are tight when it comes to this particular series, as it is notoriously known for being one of the massively-funded shows on Netflix.
Though there was reportedly no settlement agreed on during the said meeting, it is speculated that the session discussed possibilities for moving "Marco Polo" season three to another network so fans can still keep up with the Mongol leader's adventures.
Meanwhile, there are reports pointing to Benedict Wong's alleged demand for a salary increase, which is another blow to Netflix since the show itself needs millions to start production.
Wong plays the great Kublai Khan in the series, and though Netflix is reportedly still in the process of settling over the actor's pay raise, many believe that he deserves the increase due to his exemplary performance as Khan.
Also, it is speculated that another reason for the show's delay is due to Wong's very hectic schedule. Rumor has it that production is having a hard time fixing his filming schedule, which is leading to the setback in finally announcing when "Marco Polo" season three premieres.
As for the third installment's plot, it is believed that Kublai Khan will face off with Prester John, the new and mystic being who appeared to have attacked the camp where Kublai Khan and his warriors are staying.
The finale of season two saw a fallen camp with dead bodies all around and huts burned to the ground. Though it's unclear if Kublai Khan and Marco (Lorenzo Richelmy) escaped safely, it is expected that the duo will return to execute vengeance on the new villain.
Stay tuned for more updates on "Marco Polo" season three.
