Manny Pacquiao next fight rumors 2016: opponent still undetermined

It seems like veteran trainer Freddie Roach and Top Rank's Bob Arum were right when they said Manny Pacquiao's retirement from boxing will not last long. Now, there is already a venue for his reported comeback fight which is happening on November 5.

(Reuters/Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports)Manny Pacquiao is set to fight again on November 5 at the Thomas and Mack Center.

In a report by ESPN, Arum said Pacquiao wanted to return to competing as long as his training does not interfere with his schedule as a Philippine senator.

Arum added that Pacquiao's next fight is taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center  in Las Vegas.

Along with this, Arum also revealed how things would work with Pacquiao focusing on multiple endeavors.

"We are going to film Manny -- if we can get into the senate -- working as a senator during the day and then training at night. We'll have a camera crew over in the Philippines. But then he will finish with the budget votes he has to work on around Oct. 15 and he will come to Los Angeles with [trainer] Freddie [Roach] and finish training," Arum explained.

The last time Pacquiao boxed was in April when he decisioned one of his fiercest rivals Timothy Bradley, Jr. In that rubber match, the former eight-division champ returned to his old self. He floored Bradley a few times and was throwing lightspeed punches while also displaying splendid footwork.

Because of the dominant showing versus Bradley, almost no one believed he was finally leaving the sport.

Despite the venue and date already announced, Pacquiao's opponent remains unknown. Arum limited his pool to three sluggers, namely Jessie Vargas, Terence Crawford, and Viktor Postol.

Crawford and Postol will have a unification bout this Saturday and the victor will likely be the one competing with Vargas to earn the right to face Pacquiao in November.

Some names might be added to the list since the fight is still a few months away.
