"Major Crimes" season 4 has come to a close with episode 23 titled "Hindsight Part 5" on March 14. It was revealed the one murderer who killed them all, including her own husband: Stephanie Dunn.

Julio Sanchez (Raymond Cruz) was the one who took the hardest blow of the revelation, as he has been bonding with her over the death of their spouses. As one would expect, he confronted her about the murders she had committed, but stopped her from committing suicide.

After Julio got the gun away from Stephanie, Sykes rightfully arrested her.

Another confrontation happened in the episode; it is between Rusty Beck (Graham Patrick Martin) and Gary Lewis (Daniel Buran). Gary is his mother's ex-boyfriend who encouraged her to abandon Rusty just because he has been gay since. In previous episodes, it had been shown that Rusty is being threatened by this once-scary male figure in his life; however, he has finally stood up to him.

In episode 19 titled "Hindsight Part 1," he was able to track down his biological mother. He learned that she is in danger, and this may force him to finally return to his investigative journalist path.

Meanwhile, after facing a number of issues before the day of the wedding Louie Provenza (G. W. Bailey) and Patrice Perry (Dawnn Lewis) finally tied the knot, quite a happy event to counterbalance all the heartbreaks that hang over the entire episode.

More major crimes are expected to be solved when the hit TV series returns for its fifth season. TNT had officially announced the season 5 renewal of the show in December last year. Although they originally intended to make 10 episodes, the latest update confirmed that "Major Crimes" is getting 13 episodes. Avid viewers are hopeful, though, that the number will increase, as what happened with season 4. Originally, TNT ordered 15 episodes for the fourth season, but was later on increased to 23.

The premiere date for season 5 is yet to be announced.
