MacBook Pro 2016 release date, specs rumors: Next flagship to become Apple's high-end laptop variant

The MacBook Pro 2016 rumor mill continues on as people are curious as to what Apple can bring to the table when it comes to its next generation laptops.
People are excited to know more about the MacBook Pro 2016, and they are expecting that Apple will give more details about the much anticipated device at the 2016 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which kicks off next month.
Apple has not confirmed rumors about the launch of a new MacBook Pro, but according to Ming-Chi Kuo, a renowned Apple analyst at KGI Securities, the Cupertino-based company is planning to unveil an entirely redesigned laptop later this year. In that case, those who are looking forward to the unveiling this month might be disappointed. Based on Kuo's predictions, it's likely that the new MacBook Pro will be introduced sometime around September.
As for what the device will be like, Kuo claims that the 2016 MacBook Pro will be much lighter and thinner, which is inspired by the 12-inch MacBook. These rumored specs have been corroborated by sources for 9to5 Mac. The device will also reportedly include features such as Touch ID support, an OLED touch bar positioned just above the keyboard, a USB-Type C support and Thunderbolt 3 for rapid data transfers.
This new 2016 MacBook Pro will reportedly have a 12-inch retina display and powerful specs for an impressive overall performance. It is also likely to carry Skylake processors by Intel. None of the other MacBook models run on this type of processor, while the company's rivals like Dell, Microsoft and HP have already employed Skylake. It's expected that Apple will also jump in the bandwagon.
Given the rumored specs of the 2016 MacBook Pro, Kuo said that the MacBook Air will probably become Apple's entry-level device, making the MacBook Pro belong to the high-end model.
