Lumia 650 rumors: Single SIM version has passed through FCC

(Microsoft)Lumia 650 could follow the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL soon

Over the past few months, there have been incessant rumors that Microsoft has a Lumia 650 smartphone in the works and it was recently even spotted being certified by the FCC. Importantly, these rumors were also confirmed by an executive from the company, who hinted that such a device would be released soon but no such date had been set in stone so far.

As for the current rumor about the Lumia 650, it indicates that the smartphone is very close to being released. GSMArena, reporting on the FCC certification, stated that the variant with the single SIM was submitted for FCC certification, which means that the device could be slotted for a release in the United States.

However, there is also a variant of the Lumia 650 with double SIM cards and it was rumored recently to have the model number RM-1154. As for the smartphone with the single SIM card, it has the model number RM-1152.

Meanwhile, the Lumia 650 has so far been spotted in press renders with a metal body and this much was confirmed when the device was photographed in the flesh recently. The presence of metal on its body is in marked contrast to the high-end Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, which were released last year with polycarbonate bodies. The Lumia 650, meanwhile, was thought to be a mid-range device running on the Windows 10 operating system.

Coming to the hardware on the Lumia 650, it is thought that the device will come with a Snapdragon 210 chipset. As for its display, it will be a 5-inch version with a resolution of 720p and its RAM will be 1 GB. The battery on the device is also thought to be a 2,000mAh version.

Even though an official release date for the Lumia 650 has not been announced, it is clear that since it has passed the FCC, it will be released soon.
