'Love and Hip Hop Atlanta' news: Margeaux Simms alleges she was fired due to her sexuality

The fourth season of "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" wrapped up more than three months ago in August and still the cast members of the show are still making tabloid headlines. Last season, audiences became privy to the Nikko and Margeux break-up. The couple are now in the process of getting divorced and Margeux has since opened up about what pushed her to split-up with her long-time partner.
In an interview with MStarz last June, Margeaux revealed that her and Nikko have grown apart in the past couple of years as a result of Nikko being so driven and focused on money. She further explained that she decided to leave their union because it was toxic.
"We kind of started to grow apart a little bit but then we had that emotional bond because we're always so down for each other that we didn't know how to let it go. It was toxic in a sense that we needed to be apart to flourish because we couldn't seem to let each other go because we wanted to be apart but to be with each other," explained Margeaux.
Since the end of the fourth season, Margeaux has confirmed that she is currently dating, Merike Palmiste and because of her new same-sex relationship, many news outlets claim that her being gay got her fired from the reality series.
TMZ caught up with the couple just two days ago, and during the conversation Margeaux was asked whether or not the rumors are true. Margeaux explained that she herself has been kept in the dark. The reality TV personality revealed that she was given no explanation as to her termination saying:
"I don't really know why. We were really given no explanation. But, you know, what are you supposed to think? I'm in the middle of a divorce with Nikko and then I exit with my girlfriend."
