LA Lakers trade rumors 2016: Julius Randle, Nick Young shipped to Denver Nuggets?

For a rebuilding franchise like the Los Angeles Lakers, being included in trade rumors is inevitable. Now, one proposed deal could end up with them having forward Kenneth Faried and guard Gary Harris who are currently with the Denver Nuggets.

Because the Lakers have a young core, it is automatic that a budding talent is going to be involved in a potential deal.

This time, in a possible swap with the Nuggets for Faried and Harris, the youngster that could be in the package deal is forward Julius Randle.

If the Lakers will put Randle on the market, it can be expected that a number of teams are going to express interest. The 21-year-old had a stellar year for Los Angeles in the 2015-16 season, and as of the moment, he can only get better.

This is the reason why Randle is always present in trade talks - he garners interest from other organizations.

Aside from Randle, another piece the Lakers can ship to the Mile High City is veteran guard Nick Young.

When Young joined the Lakers, it was at a time when they were no longer contenders in the Western Conference. In his first two seasons, he was one of the main scoring options. But as the younger players emerged, he lost significance even though he still had the capability to perform decently.

A Randle-Young package being sent to the Nuggets would be a great offer. What Denver is getting is an improving big man who has great potential and a veteran who can still score when needed.

The Lakers, on the other hand, will have Faried, who is an energy guy that is a frontcourt boost for any squad. Meanwhile, Harris is also a young piece but already experienced being a starter and did well. He is going to be a great backup for Jordan Clarkson at shooting guard.
