Longmire season 4: Casting for season 4 called

After being cancelled by A&E, Longmire had a second chance of being aired after streaming network, Netflix, picked it up for its fourth season.
Little is known about the fourth season of Longmire, a show about widower, Sheriff Walt Longmire, finding emotional comfort in solving crimes all around Absaroka County. Since the show's cancellation on A&E, the transition of production rights has been a quiet process, especially with Netflix staying tightlipped on how the story will turn out once the 10-episode season 4 begins.
Enstarz previously reported that the fourth season will begin shooting in March and a casting call for extras has been put up for the cast of season 4. The casting is said to be held in the Santa Fe area, asking locals to participate in the search. The casting call was due to take place on December 6, from 9AM to 3PM. Those who will be chosen will likely appear as townsfolk, or if lucky, will get roles that have longer screen times.
Season 3 ended with Walt (Robert Taylor) and Branch (Bailey Chase) investigating Nighthorse and his involvement in several crimes. The season ended with a massive cliffhanger, and fans were relieved to find out that Walt's story will continue unfolding through Netflix. Breathecast has reported that the writing of the script is currently ongoing, and that the fourth season will pick up where season 3 left off.
Several stars of the current cast expressed their excitement on the next season, with Lou Diamond Phillips using his Twitter account.
"The Saga continues! Very excited to see where S4 takes us with #LongmireOnNetflix Thanks @netflix We ride for the brand!, wrote Phillips.
