In the first half of this month, there were rumors that LG was planning to bring out a new tablet and it would be named the G Pad III 8.0. Now, with a few days left for the month to end, the tablet has been placed for sale on websites in Canada.

The listings for the LG G Pad III 8.0 were made public on two websites in Canada, namely Rogers and Fido. More importantly, on these websites, the features, specs and pricing of the LG G Pad III 8.0 were also shown and these indicated that the device would be released with USB support. As for the price of the LG G Pad III 8.0, it was revealed to cost 240 Canadian Dollars, which converts to about USD 185.

In these listings, customers were also offered the option to buy the tablet outright or pay in installments by opting for a monthly installment plan. The monthly installment plan offered by Fido allows customers to get the tablet by paying 10 Canadian Dollars per month for a period of 24 months and Rogers also has such plans available.

As for the features of the device, it comes with an 8-inch display, which is not that surprising because this is hinted at in its name.

Coming to the other specs of the device, its TFT display has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a density of 283 pixels per inch. As for the chipset, there is an octa-core version running the show on the device and it is clocked at 1.5 GHz. The operating system is the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which means that the device is going to have the latest OS and it could therefore end up being updated to Android N sometime later this year.

The main camera at the rear of the device is a 5-megapixel version and the one in front is also similar. A important feature of the rear camera is that it can record videos with a resolution of 1080p. Finally, there is a microSD slot which allows storage of up to 2 TB to be tacked. There is also a full-sized USB port.
