'Legends of Tomorrow' news and cast update: Hawkman to be series regular

"Legends of Tomorrow," DC's answer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's "Avengers" just included another familiar hero in the list of regular cast members for the series. And it is none other than Hawkman, who will be played by Falk Hentschel. The news was first confirmed by the show's producer, Phil Klemmer.
In an interview with DCLegendsTV, Klemmer, when asked if Hawkman is really going to be a regular in the show, he enthusiastically answered with, "He is. He absolutely is." He also reassured the fans who are worried about Hawkman stealing Hawkgirl's spotlight and explained that fans should not worry about it.
"It doesn't, because the way we've imagined them is that they've obviously been reincarnated through the ages together, but the fact that he remembers their previous lives and she doesn't... it gives them very much like a Bogie & Bacall sort of [relationship]," the producer said.
As for the character's debut, fans would not have to wait that long as Klemmer revealed that Carter Hall aka Hawkman, is going to debut, not in the show itself, but in a crossover episode of DC's "Flash" and "Arrow."
"Yes. He's going to be in the crossover. I believe he first appears in 408," Klemmer told DCLegendsTV.
While Marvel is dominating the cinematic universe, DC, on the other hand, is now clearly on the right path to dominating the small screen, especially with the addition of the show "Legends of Tomorrow."
According to the report by Cinemablend, the series will feature a lot of DC comics' characters, both super villains and heroes. The list includes Hawkman and Hawkgirl, as well as The Atom, White Canary, Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Martin Stein, Rip Hunter and Jay Jackson.
"Legends of Tomorrow" is set to debut on The CW early next year, 2016 as stated on IGN.
