'Kingdom Hearts 3' rumors: Upcoming game to introduce Seven Guardians of Light

(Facebook/Kingdom Hearts)Rumors claim that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will introduce Seven Guardians of Light.

While it remains unknown as to when "Kingdom Hearts 3" will arrive, the latest reports already claim that the highly anticipated game will usher in new characters known as the Seven Guardians of Light.

According to the latest reports, a certain Twitter user named ArikaMiz uploaded the photos of a Square Enix's new Play Arts Kai of Sora action figure, the packaging of which revealed some important information about how the story of "Kingdom Hearts 3" may pan out. Reportedly, Sora and his friends must gather the Seven Guardians of Light so that Master Xehanort and his new Organization XIII can be defeated and the spread of the darkness across the universe can be averted.

Sources also say that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be ushering in new and old Disney worlds that were not part of the earlier versions of the game. If the reports turn out to be true, gamers can expect to experience the worlds of "Hercules", "Tangled," and "Big Hero 6" in "Kingdom Hearts 3." It is also said that "Frozen," "Brave," "Wreck-it Ralph," "The Jungle Book," and "Toy Story" may make it to the game, too, as such titles are also being taken into consideration. Should this happen, Sora, Goofy, and Donald Duck can be expected to travel to these worlds where they will meet new friends and foes.

On the other hand, while the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3" is still up in the air as, reportedly, it is still under development, it has been learned that fans can already look forward to the release of "Kingdom Hearts HD" as the game will be launched this coming Jan. 24. Furthermore, two months later, "Kingdom Hearts" gamers can also look forward to the arrival of the "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix" and "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix," as both will be released for PlayStation 4 on March 31.
