'Kingdom Hearts 3' release date, latest updates: New video game rumored to come out in March 2018
Rumors are rife that Square Enix moved the launching of "Kingdom Hearts 3" to March 2018 and not during the franchise's 15th anniversary this coming March. Gaming fans are eager to get their hands on the new video game that was first announced during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2013.
While game developers have not given official details as to the new game's release, several speculations have leaked online suggesting that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is indeed coming in March 2018. A Reddit user by the name MaxialstarOA posted details regarding the third installment. According to the user, the information came from a news writer of a Spanish website. It also mentions that the game developers are looking at redoing PlayStation 2 assets.
In response to MAxialstarOA's post on Reddit, a user named Jose_Strife commented that he is the writer from the Spanish website. According to Jose_Strife, the information he disclosed is from a verified source. There is, however, no comment from Square Enix regarding the March 2018 rumored release date.
"We never start by working on all the worlds at the same time," game director Tetsuya Nomura told Famitsu, as reported by KH Insider. "In order to avoid having to redo things once we've started it's necessary to let things take shape only after all the elements have received approval, and there are currently some worlds that are still being audited," he said.
"As I said a while ago, we also have to remake all the character models and such for current-gen consoles, so there's still a lot of development work to do," he added." But, you don't have to worry about the quality, so please wait until the next opportunity I have to show you something," Nomura continued.
Square Enix has yet to officially announce the release date of "Kingdom Hearts 3."
