'Justice League: Part One' plot rumors: Main villain revealed?

(Facebook / DC Extended Universe)"Justice League:Part One" comes to the cinemas in 2017 and fans are already speculating on the movie's villain.

Filming for "Justice League: Part One" has begun, and while the people working on the movie are mum on the details, talks that the villain has been revealed are making the rounds.

To establish continuity between franchises, comic-based movies have been dropping hints on each project for upcoming installments. The latest DC Extended Universe movie released is "Batman v Superman" and Darkseid has been mentioned in the movie. This led many to speculate that Darkseid will be the main villain in "Justice League: Part One."

Another popular speculation involves the death of Superman who is widely believed to rise again on "Justice League: Part One." There are many theories regarding his resurrection. Based on the comic storyline, the fallen hero just entered a hibernation state when he was heavily injured and constant exposure to the sun will bring back his power. However, some also believe that he will rise to be the evil version of himself who the team of heroes will fight against in the movie.

Another speculation on the movie's main villain comes from the deleted scenes of "Batman v Superman." Birth Movies Death has pointed out one of the deleted scenes shows Lex Luthor in his Kryptonian warm bath talking to a monster. That monster has been identified as Steppenwolf who is believed to be the main villain in "Justice League: Part One."

Although the cut did not make it to the movie, Dakseid's mention may justify Steppenwolf's presence. Darkseid is the ruler of Apokolips, while Steppenwolf is the general of the elite Apokoliptian army sent to earth.

Apokolips is a fictional world that figures largely on the DC Universe. It is described as a dimension between the physical universe and Hell.

"Justice League: Part One" is scheduled to premiere on Nov. 16, 2017.
