With the Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 clearing FCC, it is likely that the tablet will be released in the United States soon where it is going to have to take on the devices in the iPad lineup if it wants to succeed. Here is how the bigger Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 compares to the iPad Mini 4.

Design

When it comes to design, the MediaPad M2 10.0 has a lot of great features and first off comes with a metal body that has a sandblasted finish, which gives a premium look. There are also four speakers on board the device and these have been created by Harman Kardon, which will ensure that people get good reproduction of sound on it. There is also a stylus available for the premium edition of the device and a fingerprint scanner.

As for the iPad Mini 4, it is a smaller device but it has a similar all-metal build with curved edges that give it a good look and feel. The tablet from Apple also has a fingerprint scanner which is incorporated into its home button. Onboard the iPad Mini 4 is an Apple A8 chipset coupled with a dual core CPU and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU, while its competitor has a Hisilicon Kirin 930 chipset coupled with an octa-core CPU and a Mali-T628 MP4 GPU.

Memory

There is no memory slot on the iPad Mini 4 and the presence of one on the MediaPad M2 10.0 has not been confirmed. As for RAM, the device from Apple has 2 GB onboard while the MediaPad M2 10.0 has either 2 GB or 3 GB.

Price

In terms of price, the MediaPad M2 10.0 from Huawei could have a price tag of $419 while the 16 GB model of the iPad Mini 4 costs $399.
