'How to Get Away with Murder' season 3B rumors: Second half of series to reveal Mahoneys behind Wes Gibbins' death?

The suspense-legal ABC drama "How to Get Away with Murder" is returning for the second half of its season 3, and fans are eager to find out who actually killed Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch), whose death served as a major cliffhanger in the series' midseason 3 finale. While it may be possible that none of the show's major characters could have been involved in Wes Gibbins' murder, there are those who believe that it's not a far cry for the Mahoneys to have orchestrated the said character's death.
As "How to Get Away with Murder" is not "How to Get Away with Murder" without its mysterious deaths, fans of the said ABC series have long known that somebody will die on the show's current season. While the winter/midseason finale featured Annalise Keating's (Viola Davis) house gutted by fire, which initially sent the viewers into thinking to have been the cause of Wes Gibbins' death, it was later on revealed that the character has actually been murdered.
While there are a lot of suspects on who possibly killed Wes Gibbins, the actor who breathed life to the character believes that it could have been the Mahoneys behind the murder. According to Enoch, it's possible for the Mahoney family to have killed his character as a way of revenge for wrongly accusing Charles (Wilson Bethel) of murdering Wallace (Adam Arkin) in the past, when, in fact, it was Frank (Charlie Weber) who committed the crime.
"They have the money and the means to contract someone to do such a barbaric thing, and they're not emotionally tied to it at all. I think it's ludicrous to think it would be Annalise or Nate (Billy Brown). I don't think it's as sinister as that," says Karla Souza, who plays the role of Laurel Castillo on "How to Get Away with Murder," in her interview with Entertainment Weekly recently.
Are the Mahoneys really behind Wes Gibbins' death? Did they really take revenge on Wes Gibbins?
Find out when "How to Get Away With Murder" season 3B kicks off with its episode 10 this Jan. 19 on ABC.
