"How to Get Away With Murder" successfully finished yet another season and it was not surprising that two people were left dead andthe question of who did the killings won't be addressed until season 3 starts airing.

The season finale showed Wes (Alfred Davis) deciding to confront his father, Wallace Mahoney (Adam Arkin), only to witness him being shot at the head. Caleb (Kendrick Sampson) was also outed as the killer, which effectively wrapped up the Hapstall case. As for Annalise (Viola Davis), she found out that Frank (Charlie Weber) was the one responsible for the death of Lila (Megan West) and has since shunned him out.

Series creator Pete Nowalk gave an interview to Variety Magazine and provided a few answers to some of the fans' burning questions regarding the upcoming season.

When asked about when will the audience know who's the culprit behind Wallace's shooting, Norwalk said that the truth may be exposed either on the first minute of the show or be dragged and be kept a mystery for a while, citing some possible complications in the story.

A lot of people are speculating that Frank may be the brains behind Wallaces's death and that he's done it to redeem himself in the eyes of Annalise. Regarding that theory, Norwalk mentioned that "[it] makes a lot of sense. If Frank decided I need to make good with Annalise, I'm going to get rid of one of the most evil men in her life and I'm going to show her that I'm on her side. Exactly that makes sense, but sometimes on the show, it's our goal to do what no one expects and sometimes we just do what makes sense."

The series creator further explained, "It's not a bad theory at all, and I have a theory as well and I'm going to meet with the writers in the next few months and we're going to hash it out and see what idea we like best. It's all up in the air."

"How to Get Away With Murder" season 3 is set to premiere on ABC sometime in September.
