A catfight is brewing between Michaela (Aja Naomi King) and Bonnie (Liza Weil) in the upcoming season of "How to Get Away With Murder."

In the last installment, Michaela sought comfort from Asher (Matt McGorry) when her own boyfriend committed suicide. With Caleb (Kendrick Sampson) dead, the straight-A student went a little crazy and hooked up with the other man inside a bathroom. Although Michaela was technically a free agent, Asher has been sleeping with Bonnie and they have no plans of ending their relationship soon. At the moment, Annalise's (Viola Davis) able assistant is still unaware about what is happening between the two, but that will soon change in the new season.

Showrunner Pete Nowalk previously told Entertainment Weekly that Bonnie's job in the new episodes is to be the glue that keeps the group together. Because Frank (Charlie Weber) is on the run, everyone is wondering what will happen next. Bonnie will reportedly be playing the part of the "mama bear" and her boss' loyal confidante. As to how Bonnie will treat Michaela, the odds are that claws will come out to take a swipe or two at the conniving woman who dared mess with her.

Meanwhile, Nowalk shared with TV Line his thoughts about the unlikely pairings in the fall installment. He said it was fun creating storylines on how young people "living in a powder keg" would use each other to survive. He also shared that Asher's personality makes him so attractive to Michaela since he is so different for Caleb.

"Michaela is going to have to deal with the fact that she just found out another guy she trusted, Caleb, was a crazy, freaking sociopath, so it makes sense to me why she might want to just choose the simple guy who's right in front of her. In many ways, Asher is a really good boyfriend, and I think he's probably a generous lover," the EP said.

"How to Get Away With Murder" is expected to return this fall on ABC.
